Projectiles[1] are obstacles in Fall Guys that are often fired by cannons. They were first introduced in legacy Season 1. Projectiles come in many shapes and sizes. In a few levels, they can be used as a tool to qualify.
Fruit, which was introduced as a type of Projectile, often takes on more diverse roles than the latter, such as decoration.
Appearances
Big Shots
In
Big Shots, either five or three floating cannons shoot futuristic projectiles at players, who have to avoid them while staying on a see-saw. As of Season 4.5, the cannons may instead fire all fruit from Season 1 (Legacy) except for bananas.
The medal icon for this round features a star, planet, and magnet.

Dizzy Heights
The second section of
Dizzy Heights features four cannons within walls that shoot rolling balls towards oncoming players. To avoid getting knocked over, Players can hide between Padded Blocks and Padded Triangles that divide the section into four lanes.
The final section features a single floating cannon that shoots yellow rolling balls down a slope. Alternatively, it may shoot blueberries, strawberries, and watermelons. Players can use the Speed Bumps on the slope to avoid being pushed down by projectiles.

Fall Mountain
Five cannons at the top of
Fall Mountain shoot yellow rolling balls that land near the Bumpers and roll down the level. Players should use the thin blocks, Turnstiles, and finally Basic Diamonds to avoid getting knocked over. If a ball lands on a player, it can make them fly quite a far distance backwards, worsening their chances of winning.

Freezy Peak
In the first section of
Freezy Peak, snowballs are shot by cannons within walls. In the uphill spiraling section, another cannon within a wall shoots snowballs.

Fruit Chute
The main objective of
Fruit Chute is avoiding projectiles shot from cannons while running up Conveyor Belts. The level features ten floating cannons: two on either side of the Finish Line, seven held together behind the Finish Line, and a final one above the aforementioned seven. The side cannons and the top one shoot the larger fruits from Season 1 (Legacy), while the middle seven shoot Slim Jims and the smaller blueberries and strawberries.
Some variations of Fruit Chute allow only one kind of fruit to appear. This is applicable for bananas, blueberries/strawberries, and watermelons. In another variation, the cannons can shoot rolling balls, giant golden eggs, and footballs instead of the larger fruits.
The medal icon for this level consists of the inside of an orange.

Party Promenade
Two sections in
Party Promenade features a floating cannon shooting water balloons towards players navigating Bumper Blocks.
The medal icon for this level features a pink-colored cannon shooting a water balloon. This contradicts the cannon's in-game design, which is white.

Perfect Match
In
Perfect Match, players must memorize tiles with pictures of fruit on them, and then stay on the right one when required to. In Season 2, these tiles instead display pictures of space projectiles, as well as a planet seen in the backgrounds of Season 2 levels. There are three rounds, featuring two, four, and six projectile types, respectively.
In the Season 3 (Legacy) mid-season update, one of the screens surrounding the arena was replaced with a few floating cannons held together. They shoot blueberries, strawberries, bananas, and watermelons onto the arena.
Apples, bananas, and oranges are the only projectiles fully represented in the tiles. Watermelon slices also appear, but they have a different design than watermelon projectiles.

Pipe Dream
In
Pipe Dream, floating cannons shoot water balloons at players on both the left platform of the second section and the Vacuum Tubes in the final section.

Puzzle Path
Puzzle Path features a room with three rolling balls that serve to obscure the correct path to the next chamber. Players have to get around them to have a better view or push them out of the way in order to find the path.

Roll Out
A variation of
Roll Out features seven floating cannons held together, facing the players as they spawn. They often shoot blueberries and strawberries onto the arena, but may shoot bananas or watermelons instead.

Skyline Stumble
After the first big jump in
Skyline Stumble, floating cannons shoot planets at players from below. Occasionally, they may shoot bananas, oranges, and strawberries.
In the next section, the Buttons on the split paths trigger cannons below the players to shoot stars at the other path.

Slime Climb
The third section of
Slime Climb features a floating cannon that usually shoots rolling balls at players, but may shoot Slim Jims instead.
The penultimate section may feature a floating cannon that shoots rolling balls as well. It is activated by a Button in front of the Finish Line.

Snowball Survival
In
Snowball Survival, players must avoid one or two giant snowballs shot from a floating cannon. They bounce off of each other when they collide, and they also break ice tiles.

Sum Fruit
During each round in
Sum Fruit, fruit from Season 5 (Legacy) falls from the sky and must be counted. After several seconds, they are swallowed up by the rising slime and disappear. Tiles appear with pictures of fruit on them, and players must stand on the tiles with the fruit that appeared the number of times that is shown on the screens.
In the first round, three types of fruit fall, and in the second and third rounds, four types fall. The third round also features a random type of futuristic projectile to fall as well; this type is never counted. If a player gets hit by a falling projectile, it can launch them quite far, possibly into the outer slime ring.

Tip Toe Finale
In
Tip Toe Finale, the floating cannons to the right of each path shoot space projectiles onto the tiles, helping players know which tiles are real or fake. Their openings turn left and right, increasing their range. They are triggered by the buttons in front of each Start Line.

Tundra Run
The first two ramps in
Tundra Run feature floating cannons at the end that shoot growing snowballs at oncoming players. These snowballs are sometimes replaced with blueberries and strawberries, and can be avoided via the protruding blocks and walls in the section.

Types of Projectiles
Projectiles can be split into different groups, some of which correspond to different Seasons:
- Rolling balls, also known as Boulders: These are large balls that come in different colors and roll around to knock over players. They were first introduced in Season 1 (Legacy).
- Fruit: These have different sets depending on the Season:
- Season 1 (Legacy) to Season 4 (Legacy) levels use apples, bananas, blueberries, oranges, strawberries, and watermelons.
- Season 5 (Legacy) levels use bananas, coconuts, dragon fruit, durians, lychees, and papayas.
- Slim Jims[2]: These are thin rods known informally as logs or cinnamon sticks[3]. They were first introduced in Season 1 (Legacy).
- Footballs and giant golden eggs: These objects have unique uses in TEAM rounds, but are repurposed as projectiles. They were first introduced in Season 1 (Legacy).
- Snowballs: These snowballs are similar to boulders, often growing in size as they roll. They were first introduced in Season 3 (Legacy).
- Futuristic projectiles: These include game controllers, magnets, nuts, planets, and stars. They knock players over upon contact and were first introduced in Season 4 (Legacy).
- Water balloons: These balloons burst and launch players upwards upon impact. They were first introduced in Season 6 (Legacy).
- Space projectiles: These include shoes, different colored stars, planets, rockets, and screws. They were first introduced in Season 2.
- Digital projectiles: These are based off of different symbols and icons on a computer. They include bins, cursors, hands, hourglasses, houses, power symbols, speakers, and Wi-Fi symbols. Their openings cannot be entered, and it can appear as if a player is standing on air if they attempt to climb one of these projectiles. They were first introduced in Season 4 and are exclusive to the Digital theme in Fall Guys Creative.
Fall Guys Creative
In Fall Guys Creative, only Floating Cannons are available. They cost 50 budget and can only shoot projectiles from Season 1 (Legacy) or Season 4. They can be set to shoot only one projectile.
Three different fruit also exist as separate decorations and were added in the Tropical Tides Update, with the Banana and Watermelon being reused from Season 1 (Legacy) and the Mango being completely new. All of them cost 15 budget and can be fully resized and linked to Rotation Controllers.

Trivia
- Some projectiles' appearances have caused disputes in the Fall Guys community over their identities:
- The apple has been claimed to be a mango or a peach, but a Fall Guys designer has confirmed its identity.
- The Slim Jim has been claimed to be a log or cinnamon stick, but its has been confirmed by the Fall Guys Twitter account.
- The lychee has been incorrectly called a blackberry.
- The papaya has been incorrectly called a pear.
- The medal icon for
Hit Parade features a Pendulum with the face of a Fall Guy on it, therefore resembling a rolling ball. - The balls in
Rock 'n' Roll are almost identical to rolling balls in terms of design and physics, but lack the usual dust effect seen when rolling.
- The level's medal icon does not match any of the team's balls, therefore resembling a rolling ball even more.
- The splash image for
See Saw features three cannons located next to the Finish Line, which are not found in the actual level or in any of its variants.
Skyline Stumble was the first level to feature strawberries without blueberries.
