Block Party is one of the levels in Fall Guys. It is a SURVIVAL level and was first introduced in the beta version.
Course description
Standard version
Block Party is a survival game. It consists of dodging obstacles while staying on a platform - players have to avoid the obstacles, which can cause them to fall down and get eliminated. The round ends either after 1:45 has passed, or until all but one player has been eliminated. The obstacles can be moving walls, wooden platforms that must be jumped or wall "traps" that must be avoided. The obstacles rise from the slime and pass over the platform. Over time, the difficulty of the obstacles and/or their speed increases (the latter being represented by decreasing gaps in between obstacles). The obstacles can come together, and start eliminating a great number of players. The difficulty is also compounded by the relatively large number of players on the limited-size platform.
Block Party can be divided into three phases:
- the 'initial blocks phase', with the obstacles being standard blocks with gaps in between them. In some rounds there may be traps where you are guaranteed to be eliminated if you are trapped in them. This lasts for around 45 seconds (and is signified by the Soundtrack repeating the usual motif).
- the 'jumping phase', with the obstacles, while still being standard blocks with gaps in them, now having beams in between these gaps. Players must jump over these or face elimination. This lasts for around 42 seconds, with the last obstacle always being a wall with a narrow gap in the middle and a beam that has to be jumped over (and is also signified by the soundtrack repeating the usual motif).
- the 'cramped phase', where multiple blocks raise from the sides to drastically reduce the platform area. The obstacles here can vary - either blocks with gaps in them, or a series of beams; these two types will not be mixed. The gap between each obstacle gradually reduces so the players will have to pass through them faster. This lasts for the remainder of the time duration, after which all remaining players qualify for the next round.
Variations
| Name | Availability | Season introduced | Description | Picture |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard version | Available | Season 1 (Legacy) | The standard version of Block Party. |
|
| Parkour Party | Available | Season 5.Fun | Various Moving Blocks will now contain steps, elevation changes and extra traps.[1][2][3]
The last phase will now exist of stairs as well. The last phase will also choose between two versions: An easier "safe" version, where there are traps, but players can move out of them. And a "hard" version, where every trap will eliminate players who fall in them.[4][5] |
|
| Mixed Variation | Available | Season 1 | A mix of both normal blocks and 'Parkour Party' blocks. |
|
| Easy Run Variation | Available | None of the 'trap' type blocks can be picked; the easier formations will also be picked more often. |

Course changes
From Season 3 (Legacy):
- The counter showing the number of eliminated players has been removed.
- Notably, Block Party works slightly differently in Survival of the Fittest; in this playlist, it has a certain quota of players to eliminate, and hence the counter appears.
From the Tropical Tides Update:
- The blocks got slightly stretched to prevent jumping on top of them.[6]
- Many Hard variants are unfinished/broken due to this change, as many platforms are at incorrect heights, causing clipping.
- Instead of resizing the textures, the textures were stretched to fit the new height.
Course Strategy
Standard version
The strategies of this level are all about having good timing. The first phase of obstacles are slow and few, so they can be easily dodged. Be weary of 'traps' as they can really catch you off guard and eliminate you, mitigate this by staying near the middle of the platform, so you have a clear view of whats to come.
The second and final phases are full of jumps, don't try to land on top of the yellow beams, as they will drag you to the slime! Just jump over them.
The final phase is also the most congested, so be extra careful for grabbers here. It is best to stay near the front here, as there are no 'traps' in the last phase. Staying in the back is also possible, as not a lot of players stay here, but look out for any players that failed up ahead, as they way bodyblock into you and make you fall into the slime.
- Although grabbing isn't as usefull as on other levels, pushing other players in front of the moving walls or the yellow beams, especially near the back ledge, may make them fall into the slime. So, try to stay away from people!
Advanced Techniques
- During the final section, it is possible to reach the top of the blocks on the left or right by jumping off of another player. While tricky to pull off, this allows you to completely bypass the final section. Do be mindful that you need to keep jumping, otherwise you may clip on one of the walls.

Each phase has new 'stair' and 'walkable' blocks added:
The first phase immediately makes you face stairs, but don't worry, as these are fully optional, only really take the stairs if your confident in doing so, or if there are too many people on the ground floor, as bodyblocking may become an issue there. To face the stairs just keep on jumping and divefrom block to block when the gap is too wide, be weary for grabbers as coming to a stop on top of the blocks will make you move to the slime, as the blocks are a sort of Conveyor Belt. The second phase introduces wider stairs, but yet again these are fully optional. The paths do cross each other a few times, so you'll have to weave from left or right either way. Jumping over the yellow beams are also introduced here yet again, and as they are smaller, be more careful of grabbers. Tackle the stairs and blocks just like with the first phase. The final phase has also become way harder, as you're now forced onto the stairs. The final stairs come in two variants, look out for which one it is. One of them is entirely made of traps, one mishap and you fall. Watch out for grabbers, bodyblocking and clipping. Clipping into the floor makes you come to a full stop, so be extra weary for this, as it may come unexpectedly. So, to mitigate this, stop yourself just before a jump and then jump dive to the next platform. Jumping in general is best to mitigate clipping. The second variant of the final stair phase is a safer version, there will always be a way to get back to the stairs if you fall, so the dangers listed above don't apply as much here. |

Follow both the strategies for the standard version and 'Parkour Party' |
| Easy Run Variation |
|
No 'trap' type Blocks means that paying attention is less necessary than before. The easier formations also make it easier too maneuver through the blocks. |

Trivia
- At launch, it was possible to reach the top of the walls on the sides of the map, completely trivializing the entire round. This was patched in an update on 13 August 2020.[7][8]
- There still remains a glitch where one can jump on the blocks used to narrow the playing area in the final stage of the map.
- During the 10.9 update, the round was once again broken due to the new jump physics letting beans jump over the moving walls, and has been Vaulted/Removed from the main and custom games ever since.
- The level got fixed from exploits in the Tropical Tides Update, so it could return to the roundpool.[6]
- Block Party is the only survival map from launch to not have a "final" version of it created. The other two—Jump Club, and Roll Out—have final versions (in the form of Jump Showdown, and Roll Off, respectively).
- However As of the Yeetropolis Update, a new final call Blunder Blocks got added, that seem to be inspired by Block Party a lot as well being final, meaning all survival rounds from launch now have a "final" variant.
- The possibility of ending an episode on Block Party is much higher since the introduction of more complex structures in Season 5.Fun. An episode ends on Block Party if all or all but one player get eliminated.
- Block Party's name probably comes from the event Block Party which sounds like a party around the block.
- Block Party's medal icon is used for every round in Explore.
